The Mynydd Hiraethog area comprises Clocaenog Forest, Llyn Brenig and Alwen reservoirs and Denbigh moors providing a varied and rugged mountain biking experience
Machynlleth
There are three cross country routes starting in Machynlleth (Mach 1, 2 and 3), and a purpose built trail, the cli-machx, in the Dyfi Forest north of the town
Radnorshire
The rock in Radnorshire is hard and the soil is thin, so the tracks work all the year round. No need for a full sus bike, just good legs and lungs.
