MBWales - Trail update for Afan Forest Park - October 2011

I have a few trail updates for Afan Forest Park which may affect some riders during October.

- The ‘Energy’ section of the Whites Level Trail will be closed for one day only, on 06 October to allow the felling of dangerous trees alongside the trail. Cyclists will be diverted along the road after the ‘Windy point’ section to the start of ‘Goodwood’.

- The small diversion on the Wall Trail between the end of the Graveyard section near Gyfylchi Chapel and the Final descent Zigzag section, which takes riders along the public road, has been removed since 27th September 2011.

- The following sections of the Wall Trail are completely closed: Rhiwgregan and Tramway. Cyclists will be diverted up the fire road to the Nant y Bar section. This is due to harvesting operations and is anticipated to last for 6 weeks. The short notice is due to unavoidable operational reasons.
