There's plenty to do at Afan Forest park even if you're not a Mountain Biker.

There is a small museum and various nature walks with a children's quiz trail at Afan Argoed or try a spot of fishing up at Glyncorrwg Ponds.

There are now 13 way marked walking trails in Afan Forest Park. There’s information on them all on the following page http://www.npt.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=3760

This heritage-packed trail passes a clutch of ancient monuments and hill farm ruins (including and Iron Age farm and enclosure), culminating in a spectacular viewpoint. This walk will see you climb 160 metres (530 feet) through forests and woodland glades to reach the viewpoint.
