Centre:Coed Y Brenin
Distance:18.4km
Climbing:410m
Time:1.5 – 3hrs

"MBR is basically a mix tape of Coed y Brenin’s original best bits, perfect for maximum grin without needing proper epic fitness to finish alive. New sections add some proper rockiness though so be prepared to get your game face on."

Black Trail Grade (Severe)

This predominantly open and flowing trail offers long sweeping descents through spectacular scenery. The new section of the Pink Heifer is something special. Once at the bottom, expect to climb and then descend the “Beginning of the End”, the most technically challenging section of the trail.

Warning: you will encounter a number of rocky sections including rock steps with a drop of 20cm/8''or more.

Trail Reviews:
"As a weekend rider with only 3 hrs to spare I was delighted with the range of terrain MBR offered & the rivers in full spate were an amazing backdrop.Even better it seemed I could bring friends and family with a range of skills and interest and hope to keep them amused enough to do it again. Those sections where the trail was a streambed amazingly were rideable even if they did test out the efficacy of 10yr old rim brakes." Jolyon from Brighton

"A great test of skills and equipment, the MBR trail is not the ride in the park that some reviews seem to allude to. If you are in any less than intermediate/ skilled you will find this trail a struggle (as my partner did). That said, having got past the initial rocky areas, there are some fantastic sections of flowing singletrack. If in any doubt, go out on the family trail and up the hill to Pink Heifer – it’s a blast!"
