Trail name: Y Mynydd
Centre:Cwm Carn
Distance:1.9km
Climbing:250m (uplift available)
Time:3-5 mins

"The only permanently accessible DH track in Wales. Y Mynydd starts tight, natural and super techy and then just gets wider, faster and more airborne into the final screaming road gap, corkscrew, dropaway and tabletop finish. A proper adrenaline jolt ball shrinker all the way."

Black Trail Grade (Severe)
Extreme downhill mountain bike trail for experienced riders only. The trail drops 250m through the steep hillsides of Cwmcarn. An Uplift pass is available by booking with www.cwmdown.co.uk. [Private Uplifts are not Permitted]
The Y Mynydd DH Track was designed and built by a downhill specialist Phil Saxena of Full Contact Racing and is probably one of the most exciting downhill projects in the UK.

This track offers steep technical sections, a very fast open section near the bottom, jumps, drops, berms, infact probably one of the biggest berms you’ll ever see, as well as some doubles and even a massive gap jump if you want to try it.

Pretty much everything on this track is rollable, and there are a number of line choices so you don’t always have to take the big air option. Although, if you are a complete novice you may want to stick with the XC Twrch trail until you feel your skills are up to speed.
