Each year the proceeds of this event are given to various charities which include Air Ambulance and Cancer Research. This year we will also be raising monies to purchase two specially adapted bikes so that we can share this exciting sport with the disabled. These bikes will enable those with a range of disabilities to embark on Coed y Brenin’s new trail specially designed to cope with the additional width of these adaptive bikes.
We know from existing requests that the demand for this facility will make it a great success and it will give all of us who contribute to such an important project a feeling of well being. This is particularly appropriate when we realise that a number of our wounded service men and women will be amongst the main users of these bikes. We therefore ask all our competitors to consider the possibility of finding sponsors to raise the £12,000 we need for these very special machines.
Race numbers and timing chips will be issued at registration. If you need Kit /Drinks/Food taken over to race site- bags will be available at Registration which will be tagged and can be taken across by Mini Bus and collected again at the Kit Tent.
