Grand Canyon on Skyline now open, but Penhydd shut for the next year for tree thinning.
It's good news and bad for the Afan Argoed trails in South Wales. On the bright side, the diversion around Grand Canyon on the Skyline trail has now been removed which means only Handy Andy needs to get reinstated to get the full trail flowing.
Unfortunately the Penhydd trail (the more natural, original one from the Afan Argoed visitor centre) is closing today for a full year of timber thinning work in the area. That means you're definitely best heading up to Glyncorrwg straight away to get your singletrack fix.
