August @ Afan: What's open, what's not.
We've just had the latest Afan/Glyncorrwg trail news from Carl Denham the South Wales MTB ranger, so if you're planning a summer sortie here's what's open and what's not this August.
The Energy section of Whites Level trail is nearing the completetion of a facelift - currently closed weekdays only for the safety of riders and trail crew. Work due for completion on 6th Aug.
Tramway section and Rhiwcregan will be closed with a diversion to take riders straight to Nant y bar up the forest road climb. The work here is to replace the temporary bridge in Tramway. Work is due to start 9th Aug for 3weeks.
Skyline Trail -
Current closures - Heartburn, Handy Andy and Grand Canyon all due to forest harvesting operations. Diversions are in place - please follow the signs.
Penhydd trail
Closed for forestry work.
