We've just had news from Brain Rumble at Brechfa of temporary closures on short sections of the new Raven route.
Unfortunately too much rain and too many riders too soon (including Brechfa Enduro and Trans Wales competitors) have chewed the natural singeltrack sections into a bit of a mess. These 'Old Skool' sections have been designed in from the start to create a contrast to the super progressive man made freestyle/freeride parts of the trail, but they didn't quite get the time - or the summer weather - needed to settle them in gently.
The good news is that the diversions are only temporary and only affect 2.5km of the 20km route. There are no problems with the 19km Gorlech route either, so there's still plenty of top class riding to be had at Brechfa.
If you could follow the diversions for now though, the trail will be back in rideable shape a whole lot quicker.
