Skyline diversions finished (but more to come)
We've just had some good news about a lifted forestry work diversion from South Wales MTB Ranger Carl Denham. However he's also given us some advance warning on forthcoming long term work that will close a small section of the huge amount of riding at Glyncorrwg and Afan.
Anyway, here's the news from Carl:
"Just to let you know the current diversion on the Skyline will be removed as of tomorrow however a new one will be in placed from 10th August - December 09:
This new Diversion effectively closes Handy Andy and Grand Canyon - the diversion is on Forest Road only. I would recommend riders take the July Shortcut (Signposted - Shortcut 1) for a shorter rider but less forest roads. Shortcut 2(Runway) is effectively closed due to these works. For those that wish to put the miles in the diversion will be fully signposted from waymarker post 54 to 60."
