First Merida Marathon this weekend
The legendary Merida Marathon series kicked off for 2009 from the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells and IT WAS SUNNY!!!!!
Even the Exposure Lights night enduro on the Saturday night was dry and bright and trail conditions were perfect to allow the first rider to clock under 2 hours for the 50km route. While it was cold the next day, the sun soon meant a proper belter of a day for the Sunday events, with the 68km 'middle marathon' distance actually proving the most popular.
Obviously we can't guarantee the same great weather for the Crickhowell event on 15-16th May, but all the regular Marathon features, support and family friendly atmosphere will certainly be on hand. For more details and entry forms etc. head for
