Infamous Afan Halloween ride is perfect for spooky singletrack fiends. Yes it's that time of year again folks when the local lads and lasses at Afan get ready to scare the bejesus out of anyone brave enough to join them for their ghoulish night ride.
The Scooby Doo style adventure starts from the Afan Forest Park (not Glyncorrwg) visitor centre at 18:30 on the 25th of October. Local guides will take you on an approximately 3 hour tour of the best singletrack in the forest before bringing you back for hot food and refreshments at the cafe. Knowing the Afan crew they'll be throwing in some extra frighteners into the mix in the woods too, so if you're the sort who hides behind the sofa during Doctor Who make sure you bring your waterproof shorts.
So they can plan food and number of guides etc. properly it's pre book only, but the whole evening is only ten quid which is a total bargain for a very memorable evening.
