Monster mash is a graveyard smash!
This weekend's first Kona/MBUK Mash Up event at Glyncorrwg has been declared a massive success by everyone who turned up and tried it.
The event tried a whole new format using multiple automatically timed sections on the White's Level and July trail to count towards various gravity or enduro XC biased categories. A problem with timing on one of the seven sections caused a bit of consternation. Otherwise the combination of multiple sections - which riders could try as often as they wanted - plus a very relaxed vibe and excellent post event party at the Drop Off cafe has been a complete and total success.
With such an excellent trial run of the format, we're looking forward to a lot more similar events in 2009.
