Old diversion now open, but new one in place until the end of the year.
MTB Ranger Carl Denning has just been in touch with new of a switchover in harvesting diversions on the epic Skyline Trail at Afan.
"Just to let you know the current Diversion on the Skyline will be removed as of tomorrow however a new one will be in placed from 10th August - December 09:
This new Diversion effectively closes Handy Andy, Grand Canyon, Fast Forward and Joyrider - the diversion is on Forest Road only. I would recommend riders take the July Shortcut (Signposted - Shortcut 1) for a shorter rider but less forest roads. Shortcut 2(Runway) is effectively closed due to these works. For those that wish to put the miles in the diversion will be fully signposted from waymarker post 54 to 60."
Hopefully the trail will be open again earlier than planned but we'll obviously keep you posted on how work is going.
