Run for cover! It's Welsh rally season!
Autumn always brings clear skies, golden leaves and the growl and crackle of highly tuned race engines.
Yes pedal folks, it's time for a few trail interruptions from our semi suicidal petrol powered pals who enjoy getting sideways on gravel as much as we do. Anyway here are the dates you need to put in your diary to avoid getting skittled by a Subaru.
Skyline trail [@ Afan Forest Park] will be shut on Wednesday 21st October for a Wales Rally GB reconnaissance day, then Saturday 24th for the actual special stage racing.
Don't believe anything you hear about the 15mph speed limit on Recce days either, as there's a great story about the late great Colin McCrae and a written off trail crew truck that we've been sworn to secrecy about.
Up at Penmachno it's snap, crackle and over run pop on Saturday 17th October as the Cambrian rally careers through.
Both trails will be open again on the Sunday though if you don't mind a few gravel banks on the outside of corners!
