After a year off from terrorising mountain bikers with it's enormous climbs and ferociously fanged descents, the Brecon Beast is back for 2008.
This cult classic is one of - if not the toughest - enduro event in the Welsh calendar thanks to it's use of the roughest, highest and most breathtakingly beautiful trails in the Brecon Beacons. It also includes several sections of excellent trail that aren't legally rideable at any other time of the year, making it a real treat even if you're a Brecon local/regular.
The challenge offers either 71 or 109km options - running largely on the same trails - but either way this is no walk in the National Park. To help push you that little bit further, you'll have the knowledge that all profits raised go straight to local charities and good causes such as the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and Keith Morris Memorial Fund.
The 25 quid entry fee also gets you free camping, pasta party and entertainment on Saturday night, plus a T shirt, spot prizes and en route refreshments.
The event starts at 8:30am on Sunday September 14th but for more details, links and entries log onto
