Trails fine despite stormy weather
Despite a large amount of weather at the weekend, the Welsh trails have held up fine. Recreation Ranger Andy Braund @ Coed y Brenin reported in first:
"All the trails appear to have held up well. I was out this morning clearing a lot of leaf and pine needle litter holding water on the trails. There's a lot of water run off which does cause some minor surface wear and tear, but generally these trails hold up well, which is a testament to the fine work done by the trailbuilders."
There will be some downtime coming up at Coed soon though:
"The trail closure is for the MBR trail from Friday the 20th November. This is due to felling being done on 'Abel'. We're also taking the opportunity to do a rebuild of 'Falseteeth' which should start in December and also do some major maintenance work on 'Slated'."
Nant yr Arian has held up fine too, despite some high exposure areas and we're speaking to Carl later to check if it's still all go down south. Seems we've survived this blow fine so far though.
