But there's still time to enter the full or mini marathon events. Over to demi Deutsch organising dynamo Mike Wilkens for the final details.
"Only a couple of days now before we get the Gore Bike Wear TransWales powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport 2010 on the road. At 12pm (noon) on Saturday the 14th of August the registration and with that the event will open at the Penmaenau Farm in Builth Wells, Wales.

This is going to be the final update before the events starts. So if you cant find the answers you are still looking for in here than please check the last website update (http://www.mtbtransuk.co.uk/wales/2010_6.php) or the FAQ?s (http://www.mtbtransuk.co.uk/wales/faqs.php). And failing that give us a call on either 0117 9040139 (up till Friday lunchtime) or on 07976 586418.
Last minute entries
We had a couple of people on the phone in the last few days asking if they can still enter. No problem at all! We still have some places in the full week's TransWales or the Mini TransWales available. So if you have the time to join us for either 3, 4 or 7 days then don't wait any longer and come along. You can still enter online or even enter on the day.

What we are going to eat!
As in the years before our catering team from Extreme Hospitality has put a great menu together for the whole week. To let everybody know we have put it up on our Facebook page. So if you are interested what is going to come your way in food terms then check out:  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=45781482362&ref=ts#!/group.php?gid=45781482362&v=wall&ref=ts

What is the weather going to do?
We have been watching the various forecasts with great interest and so far all of the regular ones including John's personal (from years of working outside and depending on the weather) it is all looking great. I am not promising anything but as it looks we might see the best TransWales ever this year! Fingers crossed.

TransWales mug
To keep wastage of disposable mugs to an absolute minimum we have again produced a special TransWales mug which will be handed out with the event holdall, route book, special event Buff etc when you sign on. Please make sure that you look after the mug as the numbers are limited.

GORE BIKE WEAR Try B4 You Buy programme at the TransWales
The GORE BIKE WEAR team will once again be treating all competitors with a chance to try out their award winning products. What better place to ?test ride? a jacket than in the harshest conditions Wales has to offer?

Each contestant will be able to test ride an item of clothing for one day, at the end of that days ride they simply hand back the dirty, smelly items of clothing to the GORE BIKE WEAR boys and carry on with their normal post ride activities.  Riders will be able to take them up on this offer on certain evenings, between dinner and prize givings, and also during day on stages 1 and 4, at the start of the special stages.  But that is not it, as if you like the test kit so much that you want to buy, there will be a retailer partner at the event who will happily sell you a nice new item of their clothing. During the whole event, even on stages, the guys from GORE will be out there. So feel free to ask them any technical questions or just ask them for advice.

So that is it for now. Any open questions please let us know and see all the intrepid riders and their supporters in Builth at the weekend.
