Christmas riding

We've had loads of enquires about riding in Wales over the winter hols, so here's a few answers to the questions we've had.
First up, the opening and closing times listed for the trail centres refer to the visitor centres, not the actual trails themselves. Unless it's listed elsewhere on the site or there are diversion signs in place when you get there, the trails are ready to ride whenever you are. You'll just need to take a flask and a mince pie or two if the cafe on site is shut.
Secondly, the weather is pretty severe right now and a lot of the trails and centres are in remote areas. That means roads into and out of them might not be gritted and the riding itself is likely to be very snowy and icy. With mobile phone service sketchy or non existent in many areas that means you need to go careful, go with mates and never go alone.
Finally, keep an eye on the website for any updates from the rangers over the next couple of weeks, just in case any trails are shut or the weather is particularly gruesome in specific areas. If you're riding and spot any problems yourself, please let us know via the contact e mails here ASAP too.

Have a great end to 2009 though and a cracking start to 2010
