Taking in both the Elan and Claerwen Valleys, Black Cottage has big climbs but the rewards are just as big. This is a technical route, with the sunken Claerwen Valley road offering up just one of the challenges. The downhills are satisfyingly technical too and sweep through magnificent Mid Wales countryside. You’ll be treated to some glorious views as you journey through woodland, open hills and past Victorian Dams and Reservoirs.
