This 10.8km forest road trail takes in some of the most picturesque parts of the river valley including the spectacular Gain waterfall and Mawddach waterfall.

One for all the family to enjoy. It’s a relatively low level route on forest roads with no singletrack sections, but includes a short section of constructed track leading from the centre and a rougher section of private track near the waterfalls. There are a couple of short steepish climbs and a steep forest road descent from the waterfalls.

The Coed y Brenin mountain bike trails are managed and maintained by Natural Resources Wales. Car parking at Coed y Brenin costs £1 for 1 hour, £3 for 3 hours or £5 for the day – the money collected goes towards maintaining and improving the trails.

Follow MTB Ranger on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for trail updates and drop our rangers a message if you come across any issues on the trail.
