Beast

Trail open. Apart from the Moel Hafod Owen loop is closed due to Civil engineering works on the forest roads. Please follow the diversion from WayMarker post 119 to WM post 124

August 2022 Diversions: please follow signs and instructions from staff to wait or give way, and be aware of timber haulage lorries.

Dragon's Back

Gorlech

01.12.2022: A collapsed culvert is being replaced on a section of the Gorlech Trail. Please follow warning signage and instructions from operators on site when using this section. The ‘Final Descent’ section of the Gorlech mountain bike trail is now open. Please be aware of a new trail feature near end of this section.

Penmachno - Dolen Machno & Dolen Eryri

MTB Trail Update: Dolen Machno: Open apart from one closed section, ‘Igam Ogam’. Please follow the diversion. Dolen Eryri: Open apart from two closed sections, ‘Pedlo Cyflym’ & ‘Fedw Deg’. Please follow the diversions. Many thanks.

Raven Trail

08/08/22: Raven trail is open with diversions in place around sections that require ongoing maintenance works.

Snowdon

Snowdon Voluntary Cycling Agreement To avoid incidents during busy times and for everybody’s enjoyment, please follow the Snowdon Voluntary Cycle Agreement. Please do not cycle to or from the summit of Snowdon during this period. 10am – 5pm 1st May – 30th September

White's Level

August 2022: Diversions in place. Please follow signs and instructions from staff to wait or give way, and be aware of timber haulage lorries. The optional ‘Tyn-y-pan’ section of White’s Level mountain bike trail has been re-graded as Black (severe).

Afan Forest Park

7th November 2022
Harvesting work is planned to commence on Monday 14th November 2022 in the Rhyslyn area of Afan Forest to remove diseased larch trees. During the harvesting period the following diversions and closures will be in place:

• Y Wal – diversions with start and finish at Bryn Bettws Lodge. The following trail sections are currently closed: Elevator, 6ft Under and Resurrection.
• Rheilffordd – closed along Rhyslyn Forest Road. The Rheilffordd can still be accessed and used along the Sustrans route.
• Gyfylchi Ridgetop walking trail - diversions with start and finish at Bryn Bettws Lodge.

The following remain open:

• All carparks
• MTB TRAILS: Y-Wal (with diversions), Afan Bike Park, Blue Scar, Penhydd, Rookie Trail, White's Level, Blade, Skyline and W2.
• WALKING TRAILS: Gyfylchi Ridgetop trail (with diversions), River & Railway walk, Old Parish Road Walk, Rhyslyn Riverside Trail and the Richard Burton Birthplace trail.

Please respect the closures and diversions for your own safety and that of the contractors.
