02.03.2023 All walking and mountain bike trails from Abergorlech will be closed 18 and 19 March for an event. The overflow car park will also be closed. Parking in the first car park will be available for access to the picnic and play area only

MTB Trail Update: Dolen Machno: Open apart from one closed section, ‘Igam Ogam’. Please follow the diversion. Dolen Eryri: Open apart from two closed sections, ‘Pedlo Cyflym’ & ‘Fedw Deg’. Please follow the diversions. Please keep the car park entrance clear to allow timber lorries to swing round. Many thanks.

17th January 2023: White’s Level black grade final descent ‘Tyn y pan’ is currently closed due to a landslide. Please use the alternative red graded final descent option ‘Darkside’ instead. Trail section 'Twister' is currently closed due to harvesting. Please follow the diversion signage put in place.

12 February 2023
There will be diversions on Mabinogion section of the Twrch trail for approximately 2 weeks from Monday 13 February due to tree safety work. Please follow diversion signs.
Afan Forest Park
21st March 2023
Harvesting work is currently underway in the Rhyslyn area of Afan Forest to remove diseased larch trees. All car parks are open.
All MTB trails in Afan are currently OPEN.
The following trails have diversions in place due to the felling:
• Y Wal – Start and finish temporarily at Bryn Bettws Lodge (SA12 9SP). The following trail sections are currently closed: Elevator, 6ft Under and Resurrection.
• To access Y-Wal from the Afan Visitor Centre please enquire at Afan Bike Shed (01639 850800).
• To access Y-Wal from Glyncorrwg Visitor Centre please enquire at Afan A Blast (01639 699802)
• The Rheilffordd is closed along Rhyslyn Forest Road. The Rheilffordd can still be accessed and used along the Sustrans route.
Please respect the closures and diversions for your own safety and that of the contractors.
